Start your new year off with a free fitness program. San Antonio Parks and Recreation’s 12-week walking program kicks off on January 21, 2017. Register at one of 10 locations where you will meet twice a week. Each class will offer education on a wellness topic like nutrition, stretching and even what kinds of shoes you should be wearing, in addition to a walk. Walking distances will increase during each session building up to a free 5K Walk/Run celebration on April 22nd at South Side Lions Park (3100 Hiawatha).
